Psalm 139:7-12 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
There is absolutely no place we can go that God is not there. There's a song we have sung that says, "Jesus is as close as the mention of His Name." The important thing is that wherever we are, we have a heart that is seeking Him, one that is open to Him. Even if we have pushed Him away as did the Laodicean church (Revelation 3), He says to us, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." God said through the prophet Jeremiah, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." All it takes is a heart that is open to Him anywhere and everywhere.
