Proverbs 6:16-19 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
This is not an exhaustive list of things God hates. There are quite a number of things that God hates. And if we look at all of them, they are things that keep us from His blessing, things that interfere with blessing, things that bring harm rather than blessing. God spells it out pretty good throughout His book. He doesn't keep us guessing. As He makes His plea through Moses in the book of Deuteronomy--This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. . . --and makes His plea through Jesus in Matthew --"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing," throughout we see His heart for His people. Instead, many want to blame Him for the evils of this world. Look again. He is the loving Father ever desiring "to seek and to save what was lost (Luke 19:10)." Funny, we just don't want to choose His path when He is the Way.
