John 8:31, 32 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Truth never changes, but our understanding and revelation of it just might. We are not to be boxed in to a particular "bent;" rather we are to be in relationship with the One who is Truth, Jesus Christ, that He might lead us into everlasting truth. 1 Corinthians 2:12 says this, We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. The Lord is ever open to the honest seeker. He tells us, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened (Matthew 7:7, 8)." Sometimes it's a matter of asking the right question, and not only that, but also asking the right person. The greatest quest of a true seeker is to seek to see Him and hear Him who is Truth. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. . .(John 14:6)." Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:17, 18). Let us look and listen and live in the Truth.
